Turbulence is daft but undeniably enjoyable, the sort of breezy adventure that never lets logic get in the way of a good time. The central couple become expert balloonists in about five minutes, which only adds to the film’s charming absurdity. The scenery looks gorgeous, even when the occasionally dodgy green screen sneaks into the frame. One moment they’re drifting through what looks like Mordor, the next they’re basking in bright sunshine, and the film never pauses to explain it. Still, it delivers an excellent, gloriously messy death scene with a satisfying bucket of blood, sealing it as a fun no brainer for 90 minutes.
8/10
