At Close Range (1986)

 

I can't say I'd even heard of this movie until just recently, but when I saw the cast it was 80's Heaven (what a time to be alive) Christopher Walken, Sean Penn and his brother Chris (rest in peace), Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Stuart Masterson, this took me back those times. Penn and Walken are superb throughout, especially Walken who must be regarded as one of the greatest actors of our generation, he oozes menace in every scene. It's a slow burner, utterly bleak, a young Man drawn into a hideous dangerous violent world of crime to make some money, and make a new start with the love of his life. Just quality film making from start to finish.
