I Swear (2025)

 

Everything you have heard or read about this film is as you would hope. Based on the true story of Scottish teenager John Davidson's struggles with Tourette's Syndrome. Robert Aramayo is inspirational in his performance portraying determination, grit and quiet grace, whilst battling something he can't explain and people chastise him for. Yes you will laugh at, shall we say, "inopportune moments", but John's warm character just makes you root for the young man even more. It's a cliche, but it really is the feel good film of the year, culminating when John receives an MBE from The Queen in 2019
