Decapitations, knives plunged through eyeballs, axes in faces, Chucky certainly is in a foul temper. Excellently voiced by Brad Dourif, Chucky is the creepiest puppet creation since 1978's classic 'Magic' staring Sir Anthony Hopkins the movie is well paced, decent acting (thankfully not too much of Jennifer Tilley, she has her qualities but in Bride her winy voice was too much!)) and good production values for a movie of this ilk make this entertaining stuff with plenty of the red stuff for us gore hounds. This film was followed by the equally good 'Curse Of Chucky' in 2013, and the excellent 'Childs Play' reboot in 2019 which I must give a rewatch. On a side note, if you're a fan of the Chucky franchise, I cannot recommend enough 'Doc Of Chucky' which is everything a fan of the franchise could want and it delivers!
