Murder In The Front Row-The San Francisco Bay Area Thrash Metal Story (2019)

 

I've had this documentary on my Prime to watch list for some time, but largely ignored it as I thought it would be some budget production, boy was I wrong. Brilliantly produced with huge names from the 80's thrash world, everyone's here, Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer (the so called big four, still melting ears all these years later) and loads of the "lesser" bands such as Exodus, Testament, Possessed etc. Hugely entertaining and informative, what a time to be alive in the US, the thrash of the Bay Area and the Glam of LA which I both equally embraced, I could never understand why some rock fans felt you could only embrace one genre, and in the words of Billy Joel..."It's still rock 'n roll to me"
